Mirari helps you find colours and shapes that suit you. This policy explains what information we collect to do that, what we don’t, and the choices you have. The short version: your photos never leave your device, we don’t track your browsing, and we never sell your information.
1. What we collect
Your account. When you sign up we receive your email address and name. If you choose to sign in with another account, such as Google or Microsoft, that provider shares your name and email address with us; we never see your password for those accounts.
Your style profile. Your colour season, face shape and skin depth, whether you chose them yourself, took the quiz, or used photo analysis.
Things you save. When you save a product from the Chrome extension we store the page’s web address, the product title, a link to its image, any outfit you add it to, and, if you checked its colour, the colour we measured and our verdict.
Messages and sign-ups. If you use the contact form we store your name, email address and message. If you join the waitlist we store your email address.
Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to run and secure the service.
2. What we don’t collect
Your photos. Photo analysis runs entirely in your browser. The image is never uploaded to us or anyone else; only the results (your season, face shape and skin depth) are saved to your profile.
Your browsing. The extension runs on the pages you visit so it can offer its magnifier, but it only looks at an image when you click it, and that colour check happens on your device. We do not receive a record of the sites you visit or the products you look at, only the items you choose to save.
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not add affiliate tracking to links to retailers.
3. How we use it
To run Mirari: to sign you in, to match colours to your season, to keep your saved items and outfits in sync between the website and the extension, and to reply when you contact us. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. Who we share it with
Only the companies that run parts of the service for us, and only what each needs:
- Clerk: accounts and sign-in.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Neon: our database, hosted in the United States.
- Google, Microsoft or another sign-in provider: only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Sentry: recording faults on the website so we can fix them. Before anything is sent we remove request bodies, cookies, headers other than the browser and language, and anything in the text of an error that looks like an image, a web address with a token in it, or an email address.
The extension sends no crash reports at all.Every crash reporter records the address of the page the fault happened on, and in the extension that would be the shop you were looking at. Instead it sends a short code naming which of a fixed list of faults occurred — nothing else, and never the page. We would rather debug with less.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. The extension keeps your season, face shape and sign-in session in your browser’s own storage; if you save items while signed out, they stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
6. How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account and everything saved with it yourself, at any time, from Settings→ Close your account. It happens immediately. If you would rather we did it for you, or you want a copy of your data, send a request through our contact page and we will complete it within 30 days. Contact messages are kept until they are dealt with.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, and to object to how it is used. You can change your style profile at any time in the app, and exercise any other right through our contact page. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
8. Security
Information is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted, and each account can only reach its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you trust us with.
9. Children
Mirari is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please let us know and we will delete it.
10. International users
Mirari is run from, and stores information in, the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and if the change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
